Family History

Guiseppe was born in the south of Italy in the region of Apulia and was brought up on the Italian Riviera. After childhood he travelled to Switzerland, America and London to gain his experience in the catering industry.Guiseppe has now been a Restaurateur for the past 35 years, in both Italy and England.Carol was born in Birmingham and had a career in the travel industry for many years prior to meeting Guiseppe, in fact Carol was a tour escort taking tours to Rome and Florence. On one visit to Rome she met Guiseppe, later they then lived in London before returning to live in Italy where they married in 1983.Their son Jean Michel was born in Italy in 1985, and was raised into the restaurant business in Italy before they all returned to the Midlands. Jean Michel is now a trained chef and studied at Birmingham College of Food, Leisure & Tourism. He is very involved in the family business and intends to follow in his fathers’ footsteps.The Family have lived in England since 1988 and moved to Wolverhampton where they opened Rossini’s, followed by Casa Bianca and then finally Cataldo’s Italian Restaurant in 1996. Guiseppe is Head Chef; his enthusiasm for good food, high quality ingredients and culinary expertise ensures the excellent reputation of Cataldo’s. Carol acts as hostess ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant, the family is typically Italian and therefore so is the hospitality.

Evening: 6pm till late (last orders 10:30pm)
